A: Finland is country of Nokia and it has excellent mobile connection all over the country, also in Lapland.

Q: Is there any other heating system than the fireplace in the cabins.
A: Every cabin is equipped with a modern and powerful heating system to guarantee your pleasant stay. The fireplaces are in the cabins for the atmosphere.

Q: What is the best time to come to Lapland and Kakslauttanen
A: All the seasons have their special things. The magical Midnight Sun in the summer, the magnificent Autumn Colours Ruska in the autumn and the Snow in the winter. This is the reason it is impossible to say the best season because they are so different, so why don't you experience them all!

Q: Can you guarantee that I will see some Northern Lights if I will come to the Hotel & Igloo Village Kakslauttanen.
A: Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the Northern Lights or any other natural phenomenon. There are so many things that affects to this like magnetic activity, position of the sun and cloudiness of the sky. We have always a Aurora Borealis prediction in the wall and a special Temple of Aurora Borealis where a bell rings every time there is some Auroras visible. The Aurora Borealis are visible between late August and late April. Please see section Aurora Borealis.

Q: What is "Kaamos"
A: Kaamos is a time between December and January when the sun does not rise at all. But it is not dark all the time. White snow makes this period much lighter and this is also the best season seeing the amazing Northern Lights. It is actually quite mystical period.

Q: What kind of clothes should I use while sleeping in a Snow Igloo
A: One layer of thermal underwear is the best option. We will give you woollen socks and hood. It is a good idea to exercise a little just before going to the sleeping bag and eat something little to give energy like chocolate.
